ALL CANDIDATES FORUM
RDN ELECTORAL AREA ‘A’ & ‘C’ & THE SCHOOL DISTRICT 68 TRUSTEE CANDIDATES

Nov. 2, 2008 2pm - 4pm

The South Wellington & Area Community Association (SWACA) along with the South Wellington Parents Advisory Committee (SWPAC) are sponsoring one all-candidates forum for the upcoming civic election, which will be held on November 15th, 2008.

The focus of this forum will be to provide an opportunity for area residents to meet the candidates and to learn how the candidates intend to represent community interests at the Regional District of Nanaimo and School District 68.

SWACA and the SWPAC welcome submissions from residents living within the RDN Area ‘A’ and Area ‘C’ of questions that YOU would like to ask of the candidates running for a position on the RDN Board or the School District 68.

Please submit your key questions by Wednesday October 15th, to info@southwellington.com . Questions should be no more than 100 words long (including any preamble). Short, to-the-point questions will be the most likely to receive priority. All questions submitted will be reviewed by a SWACA & SWPAC committee that may edit or combine them into a format suitable for use at the forum.

Copies of the final questions selected will be sent to all candidates and posted to the SWACA website here at least two weeks before the forum.

There will also be opportunity for the general public to ask spontaneous questions of the candidates at the forum.

The SWACA / SWPAC All Candidates Forum will be held the on Sunday November 02, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the South Wellington Community Hall, 1555 Morden Road (right next door to the Cranberry Firehall).
